Our son is a junior and in general, is a pretty anxious kid. He has taken the old SAT twice. The first time, he did not sleep at all the night before the test and scored a 1900. The second time, we had him start going to bed earlier a few days before the test, and he scored a more respectable 2040 (superscore 2080). He is not interested in taking the new SAT or ACT, but we are concerned that his score is not high enough for some of the schools he is interested in (mainly UC's). He has a weighted GPA slightly over 4.0. Should we push to have him take the new SAT or ACT? He says all the testing is "stressing him out." He is scheduled for 2 AP tests in May along with subject tests which means if he takes the new SAT, it will not be until June.
