U.S. News and World Report, a publication well-known for its college rankings, tallied the scholastic backgrounds of the Fortune 100 CEOs. Those are the men and women in charge of the nation's 100 largest publicly traded industrial companies, as compiled by Fortune magazine.
A&M educated three of those 100 CEOs, and the public university is nestled in the rankings among some high-profile institutions. It tied for first place with Cornell University, Harvard University, Princeton University and Yale University. Notably, A&M is the only one of those schools located off the East Coast.
