My D has asked me to look into options for her BF. He works for a small non profit and due to circumstances of his supervisor leaving on bad terms has found himself being promoted after only 6 months at his job.
The new position comes with a good salary increase and much added responsibility. The director has asked him to take a management course. When BF asked what course his boss replied I don't have a specific one in mind. He's happy with whatever BF comes up with.Im assuming a course is a series of classes though it could be his boss would be happy with one class from a CC. This according to my D and some details may have been lost in translation.
I'm looking for suggestions of online courses since he will be working during the day. Also opinions on whether getting a certificate in Project Management or something along those lines has any value down the line. The Univ of California near them has quite a number of different Business and Management course through the Extension program. I'm assuming as in undergrad he should avoid "for profit" institutions.
Non profit will pay for course.
Thanks
