Hi, I'm hoping other parents can share updates on their kids in Tallahassee at either FSU or FAMU. Since the area took a pretty solid hit from the hurricane last night, the power outages may last for days. I have a daughter in a dorm there. She does not have a food plan, and cannot cook due to power loss, plus will lose most of the food in her fridge. Seminole dining provided continental breakfast this morning and some boxed lunches, but I don't know what the food options are going to be like for kids without a meal plan over the next few days. The latest update from the city indicates power won't be restored until Sunday, at least. My daughter's cell phone battery ran out, plus cell towers that have battery backup will probably go down soon, so we won't be able to reach them directly. So if you are a parent of a Tallahassee student, could you please share any updates you may hear? Thanks everyone!
