This is an area I am not at all familiar with, so hoping for some collective wisdom for CC experts. Friends' kid graduated this May with a degree in pharmacy after a six-year program. Unfortunately, didn't match for residency (she did have a few interviews, but nothing panned out). She has since finished all the licensing requirements and has been looking for a job. She'd prefer to get a job in a hospital, rather than retail.
Should she be looking to reapply for residency later this year? She's concerned that her app won't look like it has improved from last year. She's thinking that it might be best to find a job, work for a year or two and then reapply for residency. Thoughts? How hard is to match for residency? How hard/easy is it to find a job that's hospital related, when you haven't done your residency?
